Google's free standalone YouTube application for iOS has been updated Tuesday afternoon to version 2.0 bringing with it a re-designed application interface, a new application icon, and a number of new features.


The interface is much flatter in version 2.0, and the application icon is now much more appealing, as shown below:

The update adds new features to the application, such as the ability to watch a video while searching for another video at the same time. This is done by swiping down on the video to reveal the browsing interface. The application’s introductory tutorial will show you how to do this when you launch YouTube 2.0 for the very first time:

YouTube 2.0 also adds a “Play All” button to the playlists view so you can play all the movies in a playlist, one after another, without pause. 

Existing YouTube users will find the update to the iOS application in the App Store under the Updates tab. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of YouTube for iOS from this App Store link.
