Strauss, the daughter of a doctor and nurse, is a fourth-year medical student. Donning a high, blue and golden jeweled crown and pale pink, off-the-shoulder, romantic-style, cleavage-baring, ruffled evening gown, Strauss waved and smiled at the crowd.
